Romulus
"From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run, away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips, again"
"From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run, away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips, again"
NAME • Romulus
SPECIES • Equine
BREED • Andalusian
AGE • five
GENDER • Male
SEXUALITY • usually straight but isn't afraid of swinging the other way
PERSONALITY •Romulus is a very cold, cruel and fierce stallion. He is always making sure he is in charge, even dominating himself over his own twin brother. He isn’t afraid to challenge for land, nor is he afraid of ever losing in a competition…or on the battle field-even though horses are no longer used in such ways. He wishes he could be used in such a manner believing himself above any other equine. This stallion is the epitome of a war lord trapped inside of a horses body. He strives to be like his father, a famous stallion named Ceasare Angelus. In many ways the two are the same, only his father had a harem of mares he controlled and demanded respect in the stables. Not to mention he also ruled the very stables themselves. The humans even cowered in fear when his father would get pissed. Romulus wants and demands the same respect, and thinks he only way of gaining said respect is through violence and an iron fist. He is very wolf like in the sense that Romulus’s old band of colts had a pck order and he ws the alpha. Romulus also has a very wild temper, and has a strange habit of bucking people pf him when he gets fed up. Even permanently ending a few people’s careers as horsemen.
LIKES • Challenges, challengers, fights, being in control
DISLIKES • mares who speak out of turn, undisciplined foals, weak stallions
WEAKNESSES • his ego, temper, and cruelty-dominance issues
STRENGTHS • well-brute strength, wits, disciplined
FEARS • losing control of something he controlled
APPEARANCE •Romulus is extremely dark bay in color, with pretty reddish undertone along with black points from his knees down. Also around his muzzle is a black point. Romulus’s mane and tail are pitch black, and often hide his white star on his forehead. He is very muscular, and very demanding. Romulus himself has a pedigree that traces his blood back from war horses used by the Romans. Romulus has a brand mark on the left side of his chest depicting the legendary twins and the she wolf who supposedly founded Rome. But this s simply the signature of the stables he had been bordered in as a young colt.
PELT COLOR • Dark reddish bay-black mane and tail like the black points on his body.
EYE COLOR • dark brown
HEIGHT • 16 hh
WEIGHT • 1,128 lb
BUILD • Strongly built, compact, elegant, thick mane and tail
SCARS? • brand mark from the stables in Rome-the symbol of the legendary twins suckling the Lupa (she wolf)
MARKINGS • white star on his forehead
HISTORY •The twins’ history begins with a truck wreck. Their r mother was being transported to the vets when a nasty storm hit. The Tiber River that was oh so famous in Rome suddenly flooded without warning and made the bridge that the truck was crossing collapse. Little did the owners know that Cerberus had already had her twin sons on the way to the vet. The trailer fell into the flooded river and swept the trio downstream. Cerberus fought to keep her sons alive, and made sure she pushed them into the shallows where the reeds would steady them. But in doing so it cost the mare her own life, and she was never seen from again. Romulus was the first to stir, and made sure his brother was alright. But the Young foal did not show any emotion, he felt no remorse or anger the river but thanked it for saving his life. After all, in his mind, to save a life it always meant sacrificing another. From there on out, his persona only grew colder. Being the stronger and eldest of the two Romulus was the one who stood guard waiting for the humans to find them. They were there for two days before several people found them. The humans found the twins, taking them in as their own. It was only after a series of tests did the humans realize they had the father of the two within the stables. They tried to contact the twins’ owner but never found them. They named Romulus and Remus after the legendary Roman twins because they had been found by the river. Romulus was trained in dressage, and show jumping but usually only did the dressage. He was at the top of his game, but as stated above, had such an ill temper it was difficult to find suitable riders. Romulus has taken two lives and crippled three humans in his life so far..
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE •It was dark, so dark she couldn't see four feet in front of her. But Avalon was used to this. She shook her head, the little earing ringing slightly in the air. Her body clung to the dusty earth of her cage, the smell of urine and death filing her nostrils. She heard the bell ring, signifying her release. Avalon was used to this now, used to the tense moment before the fight began. Sitting in the dark, waiting to taste her opponents blood.
Her cage door opened, then the large bars of the tunnel opened and she bolted out into the fresh air. The arena was sand like her cage, high stone walls surrounded her while the humans sat high above to watch. Her amber eyes moved to the other door as a large female tiger was released. Avlon pulled her lips back and let out a snarl and hiss as the female tiger charged at her. The other feline wore rubys on her rings and Avalon was determined to rip a few off.
The two charged at each other and clashed with the gnashing teeth and outstretched claws. They tumbled, Avalon opening her jaw to clasp down upon the tigresses ear. With a swift jerk, she ripped it off. The striped feline yelped and pulled back with a snarl. Again they went at each other, Avalon dodging some of the heavier cat's swipes and raking her claws across her orange hide. He latched her teeth into her neck and dragged her to the floor. The tigresses back claws dug into her belly, and she thrashed about to attempt to escape. But Avalon was stubborn, she wouldn't let go. She felt her claws dig deeper as her jaw clenched tighter and tighter. The tigresses breathing began to weaken, it was strained. Good, she thought. The tigress through her off, and Avalon rolled around in the dust to gain her footing. :Why do you struggle? You know you will lose" The lioness spoke with a blood stained maw
The tigress just roared weakly at her. Avalon smirked.

Remus
"A soldier on my own, I don't know the way
I'm riding up the heights of shame
I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I'm ready for the fight, and fate"

NAME • Remus
SPECIES • Equine
BREED • Andalusian
AGE • five
GENDER • Male
SEXUALITY • Straight
PERSONALITY •Remus is a kind sweetheart. He is the opposite of his brother, but is too easily submissive to him. Remus will do whatever it is to please his older brother in any way possible. The stallion doesn’t like being cruel but can’t help it. If he doesn’t do what his big brother wants then he won’t have his big brother’s protection. He has blind faith that somehow; his brother’s actions are justified by what happened to them as foals. Remus isn’t afraid to cry in front of others, he is sensitive. He doesn’t talk much, unless spoken to first he often won’t speak at all. He believes he is doomed to walk the life o shame for his actions. He has blood and rape upon his hooves and doesn’t know how to wash himself clean. He is somewhat a downer at times although he doesn’t mean to be. Remus is haunted by memories o the bad things he has done in the name of pleasing his brother and keeping him happy. His brother often taunts him calling him the “human’s lap dog” in reference at how well he listens to people, or other equines when they speak. Something his brother lacks big time.
LIKES • relaxing, long runs in the country side, jumping
DISLIKES • doing what his brother says, his brothers actions, cats, and water-dressage
WEAKNESSES • confused, easily submissive,
STRENGTHS • kindhearted, noble, loyal and faithful
FEARS • Water
APPEARANCE •Remus is a rare sight to see. Andalusians are commonly black or white but he is a dark liver chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. It is a color recognized within the breed but very few ever come with that coloring. Along with his strange pelt color, Remus has a long white stalking on the left hind leg and a white star that is identical to his twin brothers only slightly more to the left instead of smack dab in the middle of his forehead. Remus is stalkier than his brother, but none the less just as muscular. He also bears the same brand mark on the opposite side as his twin brother Romulus.
PELT COLOR • flaxen darkliver chestnut, with one white stalking on his hind left leg.
EYE COLOR • light brown
HEIGHT • 16hh

The Tiber River that was oh so famous in Rome suddenly flooded without warning and made the bridge that the truck was crossing collapse. Cerberus fought to keep her sons alive, and made sure she pushed them into the shallows where the reeds would steady them. But in doing so it cost the mare her own life, and she was never seen from again.Remus was the younger of the two, the “weaker” as his brother has always told him. While his brother kept watch, Remus cried for their mother and refused to get up. He refused to get near the water, or even drink it. After being found and re-owned, his troubles only got worse. His brother commanded him; he met his father and found out where his brother Romulus inherited his mean spirit. Remus was trained in dressage and showjumping but succeeded more in the jumping than dressage. He has done many things he’s not proud of and believes he is doomed to a path in life full of shame he can never escape; For he did whatever his big brother wanted, even if it meant harming others.
