I N T O X I C A T I O N
i heard you were a wild one
NAME • intoxication
SPECIES • equine
BREED • arabian
AGE • 6 full years
GENDER • femme fatale.
SEXUALITY • straight.
PERSONALITY •
she is not one to take anything she doesn't want to hear, which could either be a weakness or a strength. she never was one for much interaction, despite being a herd animal by nature. she's vicious on her own, often considered 'crazy' but she prefers the term 'living in my own world.' which half the time is usually true. sometimes she just gets off in her own thoughts with no intent of ever coming back. she is extremely dramatic and tends to take things far beyond where they need to go. the 'flight' instinct has been absent from her persona for quite some time, leaving her with more of a traditional fight in its place. she's very territorial, and while some might assume that she is a loving creature just because of her species, they are dead wrong. she is a proud creature and not one to take insults lightly, and while she looks like she can be kind on the inside looks can be quite decieving.
LIKES • silence. alone-time. speed.
DISLIKES • large groups of creatures. cramped spaces. noise. WEAKNESSES • loud noises are a definite weakness, as with any other equine out there. one weakness of her is her strange demand to be right all the time. it gets her into fights often.
STRENGTHS • she loves to run, and she's extremely fast. her other strength is the ability to go some time without food and little water, as other horses of her breed.
FEARS • well, loud noises, for one, although that's just a horse thing. not to mention she's strangely claustrophobic.
APPEARANCE •
her coat is a shimmery, soft, dapple-grey colour. she has a long, flowing mane and tail, and an elongated body. she still appears a bit younger than her true age. not quite a yearling, but not quite fully grown, either. her legs are longer than what you would expect of an arabian, making you think there's something special mixed in there, but if you ask her about it, she's purebred all the way. her hooves are shiny and she has a thing for cleanliness, so unless she's fallen on some ridiculously hard times then she's fairly clean. she has an extremely dished head, courtesy of her bloodlines, good conformation, and likes to carry her head high. her eyes are a light brown colour, sharp and alert but hold the only softness in her entire body.
PELT COLOR • A light dapple grey, white and grey hairs mixed together to cover her entire body
EYE COLOR • A light brown colour that is normally alert and ready for any action, eyes on everything.
HEIGHT • Sixteen hands high in horse measures.
WEIGHT • Roughly 1500.
BUILD • Lean and lanky, with an elongated body and legs that appear to be a bit too long for her porportions. On her, it can come off as quite graceful.
SCARS? • No scars yet, to speak of.
MARKINGS • No distinctive markings.
HISTORY •
She had a very fancy upbringing. She was a show horse for quite a few years, in training for her beautiful conformation and grace. Once upon a time, she was quite a willing, happy little camper. She worked to please her master or her rider and was an easy learner with a smooth gait. All good things must come to an end, though, and after only two years of working under the hand of an experienced teenage girl she was sold off as the family became too poor for her upkeep. Her new master was elderly, and at first sight appeared to be a kind old man. It took one false step for him to bring out the whip permanently, and as she was still a fairly young horse fear of humans and most other animals was bred into her in a very short time.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE •
A steamy breath of air escaped between the delicatley curved nostrils on the muzzle of the horse. This muzzle was delicate and soft-lipped, small enough to fit into a tea-cup. Her whole body was delicate and graceful and elegant. She had been worked well in her life, and had a great gait, a smooth grace. Fine, feather-light bones made up her skeletal system, and she moved as if she had wings on her feet. Only much, much faster. She cut through the land like a jet airplane cuts through the air. Quickly, efficiently, and without much sign of stopping.
She had been running for quite some time. She had started off at an easy-trot, telling herself that today was not the day to go out at her full on sprint. She had moved on to an easy canter now, and a thin line of sweat beaded down her gracefully curved neck, disappearing on to the blurring ground below. She had blocked out much of her surroundings, tuning in only to what was near to her. She barely missed a step to avoid a rock here or a gopher hole here, elegant ears pricked forward, listening to every sound. The landscape was silent, save for the rythmic pounding of her feet agains the ground. One, two, three, four. Like the beat of a dream, steady, persisent, and fast. Just how she liked it.
