IMANI
"Touch fingers to the night
Feels like I've been here before
Now there's an empty hole where you were long ago
But things are different when you're young."

NAME • Imani
SPECIES • Feline
BREED • Lion
AGE • 4 years
GENDER • Male
SEXUALITY • Homosexual
PERSONALITY •
**note! i will have a little more on what i mean by judging at the end.
Imani, is a nice gentleman { er lion? } and sticks to that. He does not hide any insanity, or evil doings inside the warmth of his heart. He is kind and warm, always accepting those who need acceptance. He does not judge, does not think twice about what others say. This lion sticks to his true instinct and does it greatly.
But like all nice beings, he does have an anger. Even the kindest of souls have a trigger. And for poor Imani, judging is one. It may seem silly, but for this gentle giant, a judgment on large scale should be punishable. Having had his bad..'days' when younger, one speaking words of another in a bad manner just. ticks. him. off. He would never kill, but, do not judge others around him. Or, your precious ear might make a tasty snack.
Imani, is very in touch with his feminine side openly expressing his emotions. He will shout and holler when needed, weep and moan when he is down and slash and claw for things need to be put right. Imani, well, is not as open with being homosexual. He does not like telling it upright, but will mostly likely not answer when asked. He displays affection to anything { and well anything} when he feels it needed.
LIKES • Sun-rise, he loves the colours and the fresh brittle air. Flowers, the scent and taste entice him. Males, because who doesn't love strong hunky lions?
DISLIKES • Judgmental creatures, because no-creature has such a right to judge others they do not know. Violence, blood and gore gets him a bit hazy. Rain, puh too wet!
WEAKNESSES • His acceptance, he often refuses to see the bad side of some. He can be a push-over some times, happy to give a helping paw and letting others do things before him.
STRENGTHS • His acceptance is a cure, but also something good. He gains friends and having friends means there is something always there for you. Even being kind, Imani can use words to a great strength.
FEARS • Death, because who want's to die?

Dull gold spots fleck his stomach, with the same gold on the brim of his muzzle. His mane is thick and luxurious a dusty gold at the top and blackening at the bottom. His tail tip is black, with hints of golden flecks. His eyes are a piercing yellow, but have a sense of wisdom around them. He is a heavy lion, his build perfect for battle. HISTORY •all aboard the sap train, choo choo!
Imani was born to a pride in desperate need. A gift of a healthy son was hope for the pride. His father was old and dieing, his mother just one of the lionesses in the pride. A pride with many females and no males, except his father. He was brought up by them all, hearing the latest gossip from his best girl-friends and discussing the cutest rogues they had seen. Despite the desperate need for food and water, the little pride was so happy and love filled.
Imani knew no difference. How could a little cub, living with females for his cub-years know about other males? He just knew his father. How could he have known that when he met little Mbaya, it was wrong for them to be together? He didn't know.
When Imani reached a year, he started to wander further with his friends, playing games and daring each other. His dare of the day was to go to Wind-blown rocks. So, that evening, when the hunters brought back kill he set off. He was scared at first, but the sun was still shining and he knew no danger of other lions. That's when he found him. A golden male, with a black growing mane. Imani's first instinct was to declare this was his land. But before the words left his mouth, the male said he was no harm. They soon we're explaining eachothers stories. The male, who's name was Mbaya had run from his pride, when a group of rogue males invaded. He had run for days { which Imani could see by the state of him} and now, had finally found him.
Imani promised this random male he could stay. But, he knew it was not wise to bring a stranger to his father. So, they devised a plan. For the next two months a grey figure left the camp and delivered food to bushes. A golden one came out and for hours they played, talking and all the while growing closer. Only two months it lasted, until Imani's father found out.
He was doing a patrol and came across a male, eating food on his territory. Mbaya had no chance. Imani heard the cry of pain and the terrible roar from the camp. And god, did that lion run. He sprinted, his heart pounding and when he reached the scene, he wanted to die. Mbaya lay in a blood-soaked pile, with Imani's father standing over him. Imani ran over and settled by his best friend. With dieing words, Mbaya told him something. Imani replied. His father was shocked.
When he was old enough, Imani left his pride. No words we're spoken, one night he just left. Then the incident happened. And he swam and swam....
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE •bare with my fail.
a piecing scream echoed the valley, followed by a triumphant roar. a grey lion looked up from his meal, eyes growing wide with shock. "what was that?" said a lioness, perking her ears and titling her head. but imani already knew what it was. he had no doubt who had screeched and who had roared. but, the lion was frozen. his mind was racing, but he was acting slowly. it couldn't be. but, his instinct told him it was. finally his muscles decided to move and he jumped up. with a forceful push off the ground, his paws splayed dust everywhere as he raced across his dusty home. his heart felt like it was going to explode, as he followed the route his paws had taken many times before. he glanced down as he ducked under a hanging branch and found large paw-prints that had never been there before. "no, no, no." the words escaped his mouth in a tiny whisper, as his mind played images that he might view. imani's frame avoided trees, rock and branches by inches, as he ran in a blind rage. how could he have let his father go out alone? why hadn't he gone with him? a little voice from the back of his mind told him why. but imani refused to listen. maybe myaba was fine. his father might have just been chasing off rogues...but.. mbaya was a rogue. his father wouldn't have known.
imani came to a skidding halt as he burst through the bushes that concealed the scene. as his frantic eyes settled on the figures, in that single instant, he wanted to just drop dead. he saw the huddle of red fur first, its eyes open and paws splayed. then he saw the proud figure, a cruel smile on its lips and blood staining it's face. "mbaya!" cried imani, forcing his way past the cruel figure that stood blocking his way. the grey lion collapsed beside the gold, his muzzle pressing into mbaya's chest. it was moving only slightly, as imani placed his paw on mbaya's. turning his head, he locked eyes with his friend. mbaya was in so much pain and imani read it all over his face. mbaya's eyes fluttered closed softly, but not before three words left his mouth. "i...love...you." silence. that was what followed the words. pure, deadly silence. imani wanted to cry, oh how he wished he could cry. but he could not. so he replied with what he only knew to say. "i love you too."
*everyone judges. for imani i say judging with a very serious tone. 'judging' can be used lightly or harshly. you might look at someone who wears all black and dies their hair and is always sad and go: 'ugh such a goth!' but, you don't know what is going on in their life. their mother may have died. for imani, that is a perfect example. he hates when others judge just my appearance and personality. he will only judge when he honestly knows who they are.
