PERSONALITY •

Like the stereotypical wolverine, Avonaco is aggressive, fearless, and always, always hungry. He won't hesitate to steal a kill from a much larger predator, like a bear or cougar, and he has no moral qualms about doing so, either. His strength (surprisingly great for his size) and stamina allow him to take down prey many times his size and even kill other predators (which he will only do in extreme circumstances, feeling a camaraderie with them). His life's philosophy is "Eat or be eaten." In fact, the only thing he won’t eat is babies. Like most wolverines, there is another, lesser known side to him: He is a social being. He likes the company of other creatures and will be kind to them (unless, of course, they’re trying to steal his land or his females). He contentedly inhabits the middle ground between being a loner and a social animal: Only in breeding season does he search out other wolverines.

So, at first glance, he seems just like you would expect a wolverine. There is one more thing I should mention, however: Avonaco is terrified of and avoids rivers at all costs. Once when he was a playful kit, he fell off of a log that was overhanging a river and nearly drowned. Were it not for his attentive mother he would not be alive today.

APPEARANCE •

Avonaco looks mostly like a regular wolverine: his fur is mostly dark brown with some silvery cream markings. One of these markings makes a sort of semicircle around his body: it starts on his shoulder, travels down toward his sides, then spreads out to cover his flanks. It continues over the top of his tail, then makes the same shapes on his other side.

His shape is similar to that of a bear: stocky and muscular. His legs are short compared to his body, but his paws are very large, which enables him to walk easily in deep snow.

SCARS? • Oh, yes, Avon has scars, but most of them are hidden by his thick fur. One, however, sustained during kithood play, shows through the shorter fur on his face. It runs from near his eye to near his nose.
MARKINGS • He does have two unusual markings: while his face, throat and scruff are dark brown, the fur on his ears and the top of his head are the same silvery cream as his other markings. It looks like a hat. He also has one thumbprint-sized dot about an inch behind and below each eye, which are the same silvery color.
