Avalon
Indestructible
Determination that is incorruptible
From the other side, a terror to behold
Annihilation will be unavoidable
Every broken enemy will know
That their opponent had to be invincible

HISTORY •Born into a leaderless pride, Avalon never knew her father. The male in charge of the pride disappeared one day, never returning. After the rain season came and left, the lionesses figured he was taken by nature. The pride was now unprotected, and leaderless. The lionesses held off many of the lions who came to claim them, but eventually they failed. Avalon's mother though, was smart enough to hide her from him, while he killed off the young. Her mother taught her to hunt in secret, how to protect herself until Avalon could fend for herself. Then her mother stopped coming, but Avalon knew why. It was time for her to set out on her own. She roamed far from her original pride lands...far into the west as she was from one of the few prides left in Asia. But nothing could have prepared her for what was in her future.
Heading into Africa, the young lioness soon found herself in the clutches of hunters, but they did not kill her. A shot fired threw her ear was enough to stun her long enough for them to put a tranq in her body. They hauled her off in a cage to a royal family in the east, who took pleasure in watching exotic animals fight each other. The fastened golden rings around her neck ankles and tail. An earing hoop through her wounded ear that had a single emerald in it. One of the rings around her neck held several emeralds, and all of them did on her tail. She fought for the human's pleasure, and was beaten when lost. They fed her when they remembered which wasn't very often. Avalon remained there for several years, until they decided to move and take her with them. Encountering a massive storm at sea, the boat slammed into a reef barrier, sinking into the watery depths. Avalon swam to the safety of the island, finding new hope in its seemingly desolate beaches.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE •It was dark, so dark she couldn't see four feet in front of her. But Avalon was used to this. She shook her head, the little earing ringing slightly in the air. Her body clung to the dusty earth of her cage, the smell of urine and death filing her nostrils. She heard the bell ring, signifying her release. Avalon was used to this now, used to the tense moment before the fight began. Sitting in the dark, waiting to taste her opponents blood.
Her cage door opened, then the large bars of the tunnel opened and she bolted out into the fresh air. The arena was sand like her cage, high stone walls surrounded her while the humans sat high above to watch. Her amber eyes moved to the other door as a large female tiger was released. Avlon pulled her lips back and let out a snarl and hiss as the female tiger charged at her. The other feline wore rubys on her rings and Avalon was determined to rip a few off.
The two charged at each other and clashed with the gnashing teeth and outstretched claws. They tumbled, Avalon opening her jaw to clasp down upon the tigresses ear. With a swift jerk, she ripped it off. The striped feline yelped and pulled back with a snarl. Again they went at each other, Avalon dodging some of the heavier cat's swipes and raking her claws across her orange hide. He latched her teeth into her neck and dragged her to the floor. The tigresses back claws dug into her belly, and she thrashed about to attempt to escape. But Avalon was stubborn, she wouldn't let go. She felt her claws dig deeper as her jaw clenched tighter and tighter. The tigresses breathing began to weaken, it was strained. Good, she thought. The tigress through her off, and Avalon rolled around in the dust to gain her footing. :Why do you struggle? You know you will lose" The lioness spoke with a blood stained maw
The tigress just roared weakly at her. Avalon smirked.
